Ryan Hartman is the Mid-South Conference Pitcher of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday.
It is the third time this season Hartman has picked up the weekly conference award.
The Anaheim, California, native tossed a complete-game shutout, one hitter in Lindsey Wilson’s 4-0 win over No. 24 Campbellsville (Ky.) on Sunday afternoon.
The junior lefthander surrendered his lone hit in the top of the ninth inning. He struck out six in the game and retired a string of 16-consecutive batters from the top of the third to the top of the eighth inning.
Hartman improves to 4-1 on the season with the win.
He ranks fourth in the Mid-South with a 1.82 earned run average. He is third in the conference in strikeouts (40), fifth in opponents’ batting average (.184) and tied for the league lead in wins. Lindsey Wilson is 13-7 on the year and 2-0 in MSC play.
The Blue Raiders host Campbellsville in the third and final game of the series today at 4 p.m. CT at Egnew Park.
