The Adair County Sheriffs Office initiated a traffic stop on a 2006 Cadillac on the Veterans Memorial Bypass on Monday, June 8.
The vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation and was operated by Donald Brockman, 51, of Mannsville.
During the traffic stop, it was found that Donald Brockman was in possession of a handgun and was a convicted felon, therefore not allowed by law to possess firearms.
Brockman was arrested and lodged in Adair County Regional Jail by Deputy Chandler Staten on charges of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, which is a class D felony.
