Postal workers in Adair County will accept donations for the Adair County Food Panty on Saturday, May 11.
The Adair County Post Office as part of the “Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive” will pick up donations throughout the day. Residents can leave food donations in a plastic bag near their mailbox and mail carriers throughout the county will pick them up when they deliver the mail.
Items accepted are nonperishable foods such as canned soup, canned meats and fish, canned vegetables, fruits and juices, boxed goods such as cereal, pasta and rice. Glass containers will not be accepted.
Larger quantities can be dropped off at the post office during business hours. For more information, contact the post office at 384-3206.
