Do you know someone between the ages of nine and 13 that has an interest in shooting sports? They might want to give the 2020 State 4-H Shooting Sports camp a “shot”.
The camp will be held Apr. 8-11 at the Lake Cumberland 4-H Camp.
During the camp, campers learn safety and ethical handling of their firearms and certified instructors will be presenting classes and range work.
Each camper will learn responsible and safe use of firearms and how to shoot in the six disciplines of the shooting sports program, which are rifle, trap, archery, hunter challenge and black powder pistol.
Firearms and ammunition will be supplied to all the campers to use.
Any camper, who does not have their orange card will have the opportunity to qualify for it during the camp.
There is a $140 registration fee that covers all expenses at camp and crafts.
Deadline for sign up is Feb. 17. For more information about the shooting sports camp contact Tony Rose at 270-384-2317.
