Superintendent Jason Faulkner Message for August
The 2025–2026 school year is officially underway, and I could not be prouder of the start we’ve had across Adair County Schools. A smooth and successful beginning is never by accident. It is the result of careful planning, countless hours of preparation, and a shared commitment from so many people who believe in our students. I want to take this opportunity to thank our administrators, teachers, support staff, parents, and community partners for the important roles each of you played in making these first two weeks a success.
Our staff worked diligently over the summer to ensure that classrooms were ready, schedules were in place, and students were welcomed with open arms. The way our school district has rallied together reminds us once again that when we work as a team, there is no limit to what our schools can achieve.
This year also marks an exciting time of growth for our district. The construction of our new middle school is progressing beautifully and is nearing completion. If all continues as scheduled, we anticipate opening the doors of this state-of-the-art facility at the beginning of the 2026–2027 school year. This project is a visible reminder of our community’s investment in education and its commitment to giving our students the very best.
Another improvement currently underway is the renovation of our football field and the addition of a new track to our campus.. These upgrades will provide our student-athletes with facilities that match their dedication and hard work, while also creating a venue the entire community can be proud of. While construction is underway, we are deeply grateful to Lindsey Wilson University for allowing us to play our first two home games at their stadium. Their partnership ensures that our students still have the opportunity to compete in front of supportive fans while our facilities are being upgraded. Once this conversion is completed, I want to encourage our community to utilize our track when it is not in use by our students.
In addition to new buildings and fields, we are also continually investing in education. Working together with our Board of Education members, we have secured funding for a new math curriculum that will be implemented across the district. This new resource complements the reading curriculum we purchased last year, and together they represent a significant step forward in providing consistency and quality in our classrooms. By equipping our teachers with high-quality materials, we are not only strengthening instruction but also making a long-term investment in the success of our students.
As we look ahead, I am filled with optimism. With the dedication of our staff, the support of our families, and the encouragement of our community, this year will be one of growth, achievement, and pride for Adair County Schools.
