Adair County defeats South Warren

The Adair County Indians baseball team upped their winning streak to six after defeating South Warren Friday. The Indians took a quick lead in the top of the first inning scoring six runs and another two runs in the second inning.

Aiden Smith had four hits, scoring four runs.  Brayton Coomer, Alex Martin, Jasper Kemp, and Bryce Russell each had multiple hits. Patience and a good eye were key for the Indians, who also gained six walks.

Isaac Rodgers started on the mound for Adair for the first 3 1/3 innings, giving up three hits and four runs. Coomer relieved Rodgers for one inning, giving up one hit and striking out two. 

Adair had a total of 15 hits and scored 11 runs leading them to victory.  The Indians play again Thursday night at 5 p.m. where they will take on Larue County at home.
