Columbia Police Dept. responds to Walmart for a shoplifting call

The Columbia Police Department responded to Walmart on Friday evening, June 7, initially for a report of a shoplifter. Upon making contact with the subject, a female was found to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine and paraphernalia on her person. 
Kayla Oakes, 30, of Columbia has been charged with shoplifting as well as possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of methamphetamine. 
Officer Trent Williams was the arresting Officer and he was assisted by Officers Holly Necessary and Joey Keith.
