Elma D Antle Smith, 92, of Columbia, KY passed away peacefully Saturday, February 3, 2024, at Fair Oaks Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on September 23, 1931, in Russell County, Kentucky to the late Charlie D. and Elva Warner Antle. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband Woodrow Smith, a son-in-law Joe Vallelonga, and a grandson Eli Shader.
Elma was a member of the Charity Baptist Church. She loved quilting, crocheting, and hosting her family with grand meals and precious time together. Everyone will forever miss her sweet giggle and find peace knowing she is now with our glorious heavenly Father, reconnecting with so many loved ones that have gone before her and we know we will be reunited with her one day.
Her memories will be cherished by her children Sue Smith Vallelonga, Dale Smith (Nancy), and Brenda Smith Nissley (Vern); her grandchildren Michael Dale Smith (Michelle), Angela Vallelonga Miller (Billy), Joseph Mark Vallelonga, Latisha Lynn Reliford Alanis, Adam Shader (Heather), Joshua Ray Smith (Trish), and Dustin Jay Nissley (Emily), along with fourteen great grandchildren; a sister Evelyn Grider of Russell Springs, KY and a granddaughter-in-law Sara Shader.
Funeral services will be 1:00pm Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with burial in the Haven Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday after 10:00am at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.
