Fatal Crash in Russell Springs

FATAL CRASH IN RUSSELL SPRINGS

(Russell Springs, KY.) – Tpr. Levi Scott is investigating a collision that occurred Saturday, April 30th at approximately 9:50 PM CST on KY 76 south of Russell Springs.  35-year-old Pedro Zuniga was operating a northbound 1995 Jeep when the vehicle left the roadway and overturned.  Zuniga was not belted and was ejected from the vehicle.  The vehicle came to rest on top of Zuniga and he was pronounced dead at the scene by the Russell County Coroner.  Alcohol is believed to have been a contributing factor.

Tpr. Scott was assisted at the scene by the Russell County Sheriff’s Office and EMS and the Eli Volunteer Fire Department.
