Fiscal Court Meeting Moved to Blair Center

Public Comments,  Possible Action on Tax Part of Agenda

The Adair County Fiscal Court meeting has been moved to the Jim Blair Recreation Center, 901 Hudson St., Columbia.

The meeting will begin at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 26.

Members of the court have been discussing a need to increase revenue and could possibly vote on a first reading to add an insurance premium tax or occupational tax. The meeting is being held at the Blair Center to allow members of the community to attend, hear comments about the county's financial situation, and to make comments. "Revenue options discussion with possible action and public comments" is a topic on the agenda.

The meeting will be held following social distancing guidelines but will be open to the public. It will also be available online on the Adair County Fiscal Court Facebook page.
