Kentucky State Police Investigates Injury Collision in Simpson County

Franklin, KY. (April, 08 2024) – On the evening of Friday, April 5, 2024, a 2015 black Infinity Q50 was traveling north on the 400 block of Gold City Road in Simpson County. The Infiniti went airborne as it crested the top of the hill. Upon returning to the road, the vehicle lost traction and left the roadway before striking a tree.

Two of the occupants were transported to the hospital by air ambulance, two others were transported to the hospital by local Law Enforcement, and one was driven by a family member.

Two of the occupants remain in critical condition, and three have been released from hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The collision is currently under investigation by Kentucky State Police Reconstructionist Tpr. Grant Robertson. The Kentucky State Police Post 3 Troopers were assisted on the scene by Simpson County Sheriff’s Office, Franklin Police Department, Franklin Fire, Franklin Emergency  Medical Services, Air Methods, Life Flight, and Emergency Management. All parties involved in the collision were juveniles.
