Lindsey Wilson volleyball sweeps Cumberland, remains unbeaten in the MSC

LEBANON, Tenn. – A balance hitting attack enabled the Lindsey Wilson College volleyball team to a 3-0 sweep of host Cumberland (Tenn.) tonight at the Dallas Floyd Recreation Center.

Four different Blue Raiders recorded at least seven kills led by Kailey Moorhead’s game-high 14. Sarah Anderson provided eight kills while Courtney Doyle and Taylor Hayne each added seven in the Blue Raiders’ 25-11, 25-14, 25-21 win.

As a team, the Blue Raiders -- who have won seven straight -- posted a .314 attacking percentage compared to a .084 from the Bulldogs.

Andrea Taylor contributed 37 assists for the Blue Raiders (9-6, 3-0 in the Mid-South Conference) and Kirsten King and Kristi Hager combined for five service aces. Hager led the team with 15 digs in the win.

Cumberland falls to 4-6 overall and 0-3 in the MSC with the loss.

Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 6 p.m. CT on Thursday, Sept. 20 as the Blue Raiders travel to Indiana Southeast in New Albany, Ind.
