The seventh-ranked Lindsey Wilson softball team closes the regular season with doubleheader at Georgetown (Ky.) on Tuesday beginning at 3 p.m. CT.
The two games are make-ups from a rainout on April 3.
The Blue Raiders (39-6, 23-3 MSC) have currently won 23-straight games most recently sweeping Cumberlands (Ky.) 14-1 on Saturday.
Amanda Trampe and Jenna Firestein each recorded three hits in the game. Trampe scored one run and had four RBIs, while Firestein scored three runs and totaled one RBI.
Jordan Hood picked up her 12th win of the season giving up one earned run, while striking out seven in five innings.
Lindsey Wilson is led at the plate by Chelsea Showers and Andrea Whelan. Showers has a team-high .458 batting average, while Whelan is hitting .347. Both players are tied for the team lead with 13 home runs. The Blue Raiders’ rotation consists of Casey Bryan, Hood and Lyndsey Parden. Bryan leads the rotation with a 16-2 record and a 1.46 earned run average. Hood is 12-2 with a 2.18 earned run average and Lyndsey Parden is 11-2 with a 2.80 earned run average.
The Tigers (14-14, 11-11 MSC) are on a four-game losing streak, most recently falling 7-2 to Campbellsville (Ky.) on Saturday.
Shelby Engle leads Georgetown with a .424 batting average, 12 home runs and 39 RBIs. Cassidy Taylor is second on the squad batting .387 and a total of 33 RBIs.
Georgetown’s pitching rotation is led by Sydney Goyette’s 7-4 record and a 4.31 earned run average. Kayla Williams has a 6-5 record and a 4.29 earned run average.
The two teams last met on April 4, resulting in 2-1 and 8-3 victories for the Blue Raiders.
First pitch is set for 3 p.m. CT at Tiger Stadium.
