The Kentucky State Police arrested Christopher Turner, 42, last Thursday on charges related to possession and distribution of matter portraying a sex performance by a minor as well as multiple drug offenses.
KSP also arrested Lisa Hadley, 29, on multiple drug offenses. Both were lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail.
Turner was arrested as a result of an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation. The KSP Electronic Crime Branch began investigating after discovering a suspect on the Internet sharing images of child sexual exploitation. The majority of the images depicted children who were less than 12 years of age.
The investigation resulted in the execution of a search warrant by the KSP Electronic Crime Branch and units from KSP Post 15 at Turner’s residence in Columbia.
Equipment used to possess child pornography was seized during the execution of the search warrant and taken to KSP’s forensic laboratory for examination.
Turner is charged with 13 counts of distribution of matter portraying a sex performance by a minor and 120 counts of possession of matter portraying a sex performance by a minor. In addition, Turner was charged with possession of a controlled substance, 3rd degree, possession of drug paraphernalia and prescription controlled substance not in proper container, 1st offense.
Hadley, who was in Turner’s residence when police executed the search warrant, was arrested and charged with drug related offenses. Hadley was charged with possession of a controlled substance, 3rd degree; possession of drug paraphernalia; trafficking in a controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense (methamphetamine); trafficking in a controlled substance, 3rd degree, 1st offense (drug unspecified); possession of a controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense (methamphetamine); possession of a controlled substance, 3rd degree, (drug unspecified) and carrying a concealed deadly weapon.
