Adair County is participating in the National Day of Prayer, Thursday, May 2nd at 12:00 Noon. The gathering will be on the steps of theCourthouse Annex Building on the Columbia Square. The 2024 National Day of Prayer theme: “LIFT UP THE WORD, LIGHT UP THE WORLD”, based on the verses found in 2 Samuel 22:29-31, “For you are my lamp, O Lord, and my God lightens my darkness …This God—His way is perfect; the word of the Lord proves true; He is a shield for all those who take refuge in Him.”. We will pray for America: the Family, Church, Business & Workplace, Education, Military, Government, Arts, Media & Entertainment. The whole community is invited to share in this time of prayer for our nation.
