Nine arrested for making meth in Melson Ridge

Nine people from Adair and Russell counties were arrested late Sunday night in the Melson Ridge community for manufacturing meth.

Russell County law enforcement received a tip that meth was being manufactured at a residence on Cape Road in Melson Ridge, so they contacted the Adair County Sheriff’s Department. Sheriff Harrison Moss and Deputy Justin Claywell went to investigate the tip and when they arrived found several vehicles at the residence.

Moss and Claywell called Deputy Adam Cravens and Russell County Sheriff’s deputies Nick Bertram, Jason Warriner and Mark Cromwell for assistance.

Upon investigation, they found nine people manufacturing meth while three juveniles were in the residence. The following people were arrested at the scene:

• Brian Davidson, 35, of Adair County, manufacturing methamphetamine; three counts of controlled substance endangerment to a child, 4th degree.

• Robert Miller, 31. of Adair County, manufacturing methamphetamine; three counts of controlled substance, endangerment to a child, 4th degree.

• Jason Oprzedek, 32, of Adair County, manufacturing methamphetamine, 2nd or greater offense; three counts of controlled substance, endangerment to a child, 4th degree.

• Angela Moore, 33, of Jamestown, manufacturing methamphetamine; three counts of controlled substance, endangerment to a child, 4th degree.

• Stacy Corbin, 44, of Adair County, manufacturing methamphetamine; three counts of controlled substance, endangerment to a child, 4th degree.

• Richard Loveless, 37, of Adair County, manufacturing methamphetamine; three counts of controlled substance, endangerment to a child, 4th degree.

• Ashley Crawhorn, 18, of Adair County, manufacturing methamphetamine; three counts of controlled substance, endangerment to a child, 4th degree.

• Michael Corbin, 35, of Adair County, manufacturing methamphetamine, 2nd or greater offense; three counts of controlled substance, endangerment to a child, 4th degree.

• Nicolas Warner, 22, of Adair County, manufacturing methamphetamine, three counts of controlled substance, endangerment to a child, 4th degree; possession of a controlled substance, 1st degree, carrying a concealed deadly weapon—knife.

All nine were lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail.
