No. 14 Wrestling heads back to Indiana for NWCA NAIA National Duals

The 14th-ranked Lindsey Wilson wrestling team is back in action this week as they travel to Fort Wayne, Ind., for the NWCA NAIA National Duals on Friday and Saturday. The Blue Raiders start competition on Friday at 10 a.m. CT against No. 8 Concordia (Neb.).

Last weekend, Lindsey Wilson went 2-1 at the Life (Ga.) Duals, where they lost to No. 6 Life, 25-16, but defeated Truett-McConnell (Ga.), 45-5, and Southeastern (Fla.), 22-19.

The Blue Raiders are 5-2 on the season in dual competitions with their losses coming against Life and No. 2 Indiana Tech. Lindsey Wilson moved up to No. 14 in the NAIA polls last week, and they also have four grapplers ranked in the top-16 of their individual weight classes. Daniel Leonard and Chico Adams are both ranked sixth at 141 pounds and 285 pounds, respectively. James Flint is eighth in the 125-pound division, and Jake Maupin is No. 13 in the 197-pound weight class.

The first opponent Lindsey Wilson faces at the national duals is eighth-ranked Concordia (Neb.). The Bulldogs are 4-2 on the season, and are coming into the duals after defeating then-No. 8 Great Falls (Mont.). Concordia has seven wrestlers ranked individually, led by Ceron Francisco who is ranked fifth at 285 pounds.

After their match with the Bulldogs, the Blue Raiders face No. 3 Missouri Valley or Ottawa (Kan.), depending on the results from both matches.

The remainder of the teams in the bracket consists of: No. 1 Grand View (Iowa), No. 2 Indiana Tech, No. 5 Campbellsville (Ky.), No. 6 Life, No. 7 Oklahoma City, No. 9 York (Neb.), No. 10 Great Falls, No. 16 Midland (Neb.), No. 18 Cumberland (Tenn.), No. 19 Williams Baptist (Ark.), Cumberlands (Ky.), and Missouri Baptist.
