The suspect has been captured.

UPDATE: (1:13 p.m. )

Emergency Services have drones from Adair county emergency management, Breeding fire , Cumberland emergency management and Campbellisvlle fire plus helicopter just got on scene . Hwy. 704 is still shut down.

Suspect is identified as Gregory Jarrod Willis.

UPDATE (11:36 a.m.): Sheriff Josh Brockman has confirmed the identify of the suspect involved in this morning's incident. Law enforcement is searching for Jarrod Willis with the search currently underway near Fairplay Road. If you see the suspect, call 911. Do not attempt to approach.

Police are searching for a suspect in the Fairplay Road area after one man was shot and another was hit by an automobile this morning.

Roads are closed on Fairplay Road starting at Johnson School Rd. to  Eddie Compton  Rd. as police continue the search.

Two males were flown out after being taken to TJ Health Columbia this morning (corrected from earlier version reporting they were flown from the scene).

EMS was originally called at 7:37 a.m. with the report of a male with a gunshot wound to the head and another with serious injuries after being hit by a car by the same suspect.
