I'm still basking in the glow of such a wonderful night last night when so many friends and family attended as I received the Al Smith award. Al Smith is a legacy in the news business and receiving the award is a lifetime achievement that I will always treasure. His kind words to me after I made my acceptance comments are unforgettable. Seeing so many friends there, from my farm community, the newspaper business, and so many friends and family who traveled to Lexington from Columbia...thank you for your incredible support. I am so blessed to have all of you in my life.
