Sheriff's Department Makes Two Arrests

On Oct. 20, 2016 Adair County Deputy Sheriff Josh Durbin arrested 32 year old

Gregory Salyer of Columbia on numerous charges.

Salyer was arrested on

charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs/alcohol,

speeding 26 mph over posted limit, no/expired registration plates,

possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after he was

observed traveling at a high rate of speed on North KY 55. Sheriff Moss

would like to remind drivers that his department will be monitoring speed

issues on North 55 daily.

On Oct. 20, 2016 Adair County Sheriff Harrison Moss apprehended a fugitive

from Indiana after a short foot chase.

21 year old Desiree Clawson Cox of

Indiana was apprehended shortly after 4:00pm at a residence on Hwy 900.

Moss was contacted by Indiana authorities and asked to be on

the look out for Cox. Cox was wanted out of Walcott, IN on charges of

parole violation and child pornography. After a short investigation Moss

was able to locate and apprehend Cox. Cox was lodged in the Adair County

Jail and is waiting extradition to Indiana.
