Sierra Durbin was sworn in Thursday evening as the new coroner of Adair County. The position became vacant following the resignation of Roger Huckaby, who was elected in November 2022.
Durbin has served as deputy coroner and was appointed by County Judge Executive Larry Russell Bryant. She was sworn in by Deputy Judge Executive Bridget Compton.
There are currently three positions for deputy coroner, all of which are vacant. Those replacements require approval by the fiscal court.
