School in Adair County is cancelled Wednesday.
MONDAY UPDATES:
The 2014 Relay for Life Kickoff has been rescheduled from Jan.7 to Jan 14 at 6 p.m. in the basement of the Adair Co. Heath Department.
The City Council meeting for Monday night is cancelled. The Mayor will send out a notice when the meeting is rescheduled.
SUNDAY UPDATES
UPDATE AT 9:27 P.M.
We just got official word from Clerk Sheila Blair that the Adair County Clerk's Office will be closed Monday, January 6 due to to weather.
ALSO: We just got word that Burton's Garbage Service will not run Monday.
UPDATE AT 4:49 p.m.
Mayor Mark Harris said City Hall offices will be closed tomorrow but he will be in the office to take calls as needed. City residents can call with roadway, garbage or gas issues. The office phone number is 270-384-2501 and the Gas Department is 270-384-2006. Garbage trucks are scheduled to run Monday but Mayor Harris asked residents to be patient.

PUBLIC BUILDINGS OPEN FOR EMERGENCY SHELTER AND CALLS, OFFICES CLOSED
The City Hall basement is now open for emergency shelter if needed tonight. Mayor Mark Harris reported around 4 p.m. that he was headed to the building at 116 Campbellsville Street to unlock the doors.
County Judge Ann Melton has had the courthouse annex basement at 424 Public Square open to the public all weekend and said the facility will remain open Sunday night through Tuesday. Judge Melton will be in her office Monday and Tuesday to receive calls but will allow staff to stay home if roads are hazardous. Anyone with an emergency situation is encouraged to call 911 or can contact the judge's office. The Judge's office can be reached at 270-384-4703 and Melton's mobile phone number is 270-250-1204.
CLOSINGS
The Adair County School District will be closed Monday and Tuesday. There will be no school and the Board of Education building will be closed.
The Adair County Judicial Center will be closed Monday. There will be no court and all offices, including the Circuit Court Clerk's office, will be closed.
SEN. GREGORY FORUM STAYS ON SCHEDULE
To date, Sen. Sara Beth Gregory plans to be in Columbia at 8 a.m. Monday for a public legislative forum at the annex basement on the public square. Gregory said on her website, "Because the predicted weather will limit attendance tomorrow, I'll try to schedule additional forums at a later date. Please stay warm, and be careful if you go out."
