Ashley Bunch, 33, of Jamestown sustained injuries in a single-car accident Oct. 29 on Ky. Hwy. 55 North, between Columbia and Campbellsville.

Adair County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call of an overturned vehicle near the 4300 block of Hwy. 55. A preliminary investigation determined Bunch was traveling north in her 2007 Lincoin MKZ.

It was found the vehicle left the right-side shoulder of the roadway and struck an earth embankment. It then overturned and struck a guardrail before sliding into a Kentucky Transportation Cabinet electronic traffic sign and trailer. Wet weather conditions were a determining factor, the report states.

Bunch was transported by Adair County EMS to T.J Health Columbia and later transported to University of Kentucky hospital for her injuries.

Sheriff’s deputies were assisted on the scene by the Adair County EMS and the Columbia/Adair Fire department.
