Dorothy J. James, 85, of Columbia, Kentucky, died Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow.
She was born December 28, 1934, in Adair County, to the late Homer and Pearl Stephens Harmon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Arvist “Stick” Harmon and two sisters, Frances Pendleton and Elizabeth Harmon. She was a member of Welfare Baptist Church in Russell County and formerly employed by Russell Sportswear.
One son – Troy James of Columbia
One brother – Thomas “Punk” Harmon and his wife Lois of Columbia
A sister-in-law – Irene Harmon of Glens Fork
Five nieces – Phyllis Curry, Lee Ann Jessee, Debbie Reynolds, Beverly Bryant, Lisa VanArsdale
Three nephews – Steve Harmon, Daryl and David Pendleton
Ms. James chose Cremation and the family will have a Private Graveside Service in the Columbia Cemetery with Pastor Jerald Bryant officiating
