Mia Renee Hawkins Hardaway, 56, of Bowling Green, Kentucky, died Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at her home after a short illness.

She was born May 31, 1967, to the late Wanda Taylor Hawkins.  In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her sister, Gina Hawkins, her brother, Scotty Hawkins and a nephew, Demarco “Reesie” Hawkins, in-laws, Ralph and Loretta Hardaway and Shirley Fields. She was a member of Lively Stone Church South in Bowling Green and a Medical Records Assistant at Fairview Community Health Center.

Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Hardaway of Bowling Green; one daughter, Jaleesa Hawkins of Bowling Green; three brothers, Tim Hawkins of Jeffersonville, Indiana, Cortez Hawkins of Bowling Green and Marty “Moe” Hawkins of Glasgow; one grandchild, SaMya Williams; her God-Daughter, Jessica Houston of Louisville; two aunts, Sheeree Willis and Jean Willis both of Louisville; one uncle Clifford Taylor of Maryland; brother and sister in laws, Buford and Dennis Hardaway, Elaine Judy Ellington, Betty Ann Williams and Larry Evans; a special niece, Tiffany Hawkins; and several other nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, April 27, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Minister Daryl Wingo delivering the Eulogy. Visitation after 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 27, 2024.

Burial in Forest Lawn Cemetery

Casket Bearers will be  Dennis Hardaway, Terry Bell, Derieco Irvin, Keith Maxey, Charles “CJ” Willis, Vince Willis, Trenton Carroll and Ja’Vyan Hawkins.

Honorary:  Chantay Wickliffe, Angie Newby Riley, Deirdre Bridgewaters, Helen Spaulding, Tonya Burbridge, Shelta Wingo, Tasha Price and Lisa Bell.
