Elizabeth Jessee, 96, formerly of Breeding, died Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Metcalfe Health Care Center in Edmonton.

She was born on Jan. 18, 1921 in Adair County and was the daughter of the late Leonard and Mattie England Jessee.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Jessee on April 11, 1984; her son, Harold Jessee on Nov. 7, 1997; three brothers, Willie Marion, Harland and Garland Jessee; and by two sisters, Jewell Knight and Clara Mae Estes.

She was the oldest member of Red Lick United Methodist Church and was a homemaker.

She is survived by one granddaughter, Sandy (Gary) Coffey of Columbia; one grandson, Chris Jessee of Breeding; five great grandchildren, Robert Smith, Olivia and Emma Jessee, April and John Coffey; and by three great-great grandchildren, Taylor, Aiden and Kaycee; and by a daughter-in-lawn, Wilma Jessee Firkins of Edmonton.

Several other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral service was Sunday, April 9 at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Bro. Okie Trumbo and Bro. Larry Lemmon officiating with burial in Chestnut Grove Cemetery in Breeding.

Casket bearers were Chris Jessee, Gary Coffey, Robert Smith, Tony Estes, David Estes and Michael Joe England.
