Frank Appleby, age 67 of the Sparksville Community in Adair Co., KY died Sunday, August 27, 2017 at 1:00 PM at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, KY after a sudden illness.

He was born in Casey County, Kentucky on March 10, 1950 the son of the late:

Chester and Lois Glover Appleby, he was preceded in death by two brothers

Arnold Appleby and James Appleby

Frank is survived by his wife of 43 years Janice Thompson Appleby of Fairplay, KY

One son: Chris Appleby and wife Jennifer of Columbia, KY

One daughter: Angel Grider and husband Adam of Sparksville, KY

Five grandchildren: Samantha Appleby, Zachary Appleby, Austin Kinnett, Jayden Foster, Landyon Grider

Four sisters Anna Appleby of Campbellsville, KY Phyllis (Harley) Richie of Campbellsville, KY Emma (Leeland) Sanders of Campbellsville, KY Wanda (Mark) Wilson of Campbellsville, KY

Two brothers: Allen Appleby of Liberty, KY and Henry (Debbie) Appleby of Campbellsville, KY

Several nieces and nephew survive and a host of other relatives and friends

Also survived by his beloved dog Abby

Mr. Appleby was retired from the Gaddie-Shamrock Quarry, where he was employed for 22 years as a rock crusher.
