James Martin Brewner

James Martin ‘Marty’ Brewner, 59, of North Vernon, passed away on Feb. 5, 2023, at his residence.

Born May 1, 1963, in Columbus, he was the son of Loretta (Terry) Goodin and the late Gary Brewner. He was with his very loving and special companion, Glenda Farmer, for eight years.

Marty served in the United States Army for ten years and worked for Animal Control in Jennings County. He was a member of Am Vet’s Post #7 in North Vernon and a former member of the Moose Lodge and The Eagles Lodge, both in North Vernon. Marty enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Loretta and Danny Goodin of Columbia; companion Glenda Farmer of North Vernon; sister Fawnda (Rob) Fields of Plant City, Fla.; nephew Hunter Crowe of Ky; and nieces, Mariah Crowe of North Vernon, Stephanie Bragg of Fla. and Julie Crowe of Ky.

He was preceded in death by his father and Jeremy Goodin, his nephew

In keeping with his wishes, cremation is planned with a celebration of life to be held at a later date. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home in honor of Marty to Mercy Rescue and Adoption, Inc.
