Leon Cravens, 71, of Columbia, passed away Friday, Sept. 21, 2012 at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.
He was born on Jan. 9, 1941 in Adair County to the late Melvin Walter and Kathrene Powell Cravens.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister, Leonard Earl Cravens, Melvin Thomas Cravens and Frances Harmon.
Leon was a lawn care laborer around Columbia for many years.
He is survived by three sisters, Cecile Alley, Norene Harmon and Raydean Burton, all of Columbia; one aunt, Rachel Corbin of Salem, Ind.; and by a special friend, Sharlene Cape of Columbia.
Several nieces, nephews and friends also survive.
Funeral service was Monday, Sept. 24 at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Rev. Gene Conover officiating with burial in Freedom Cemetery.
Casket bearers were Jimmy Baker, Ronnie Harmon, Clifford Harmon, Roger Harmon, Junior Burton, Todd Catron, Tony Catron and Morris Ray Cloar.
