Norman George, 72, of Columbia, died Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at Jane Todd Crawford Hospital in Greensburg. He was born on June 10, 1944 in Russell County and was the son of the late Lilburn Phillip and Bertha Marie Guffey George. He is survived by his wife, Wanda Handy George of Columbia; three sons, Ricky Dale George of Texas, Phillip Edward George and Aron Christian George, both of Columbia; one daughter, Nickie Iline George of Columbia; one step daughter, Margie Handy of Columbia; two brothers, Larry George of Columbia nd Clarence George of Russell Springs; six grandchildren, Heather Ewing, Craig Wilson, Jacob Dotson, Lucas Dotson, Ashton Dotson and Gloria Dotson; two step grandchildren, Julie Franklin and Roberto Ramirez; and by one step great grandchild, Trena Renee Coffey. Several other relatives and friends also survive. Funeral service was Saturday, June 3 at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Bro. Tom Wolford officiating with burial in Columbia Cemetery.
