Keith A. Blackwell, 59, of Columbia, passed away Sunday, Jan. 15, 2012 at Westlake Regional Hospital after an illness.
He was born on June 13, 1952 in Frankfort and was the son of the late Clyde Marshall and Lorene Houchens Blackwell of Franklin County.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Margaret Edwards Blackwell of Columbia; one son, Brad Blackwell and his wife Holly of Louisville; three step children, Troy Young, Toby Young and his wife Ann and Traci Sharpe and her husband Woody, all of Columbia; one brother, Barry Blackwell and his wife Gina of Tucson, Ariz.; two grandsons, William Bradley and Landon Blackwell; seven step grandchildren, Miller and Maggie Young, Audrey, Silas and Sadie Young and Tate and Anna Beth Sharpe; one sister-in-law, Sara Jean Corbin and her husband Randy of Columbia; one brother-in-law, Tommy Edwards and his wife Lisa of Columbia; and by his mother-in-law, Billie Jo Edwards of Columbia.
Keith was a self-employed salesman and was a Kentucky Colonel.
A memorial service was held Wednesday, Jan. 18 at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.
