Reed Combest, 88, of Pembroke Pines, Florida, died Sunday, May 6, 2018 in the Sunrise Health and Rehab in Sunrise, Florida.
He was born November 4, 1929, in Jefferson County, to the late Dewey and Ethel Willis Combest, a member of Sheridan Hill Baptist Church in Hollywood, Florida and a long-time horse trainer.

His wife of 70 years – Kathleen Arnold Combest of Pembroke Pines, Florida
One son – Phil Combest of Miramar, Florida
Three sisters – Shorty Hatfield and Lena (Charlie) Schram all of Louisville, LaVerne Dunn of Scottsburg, Indiana
Several other relatives and friends
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Nick and James T. (Jimmy) Combest and two brothers-in-law, Eddie Hatfield and Paul Dunn
