Indians busy season; 8-5 record

Adair County Indians baseball season is packed with a full schedule. Led by Head Coach Ryan McQueary, the team currently has an 8-5 record.
The Indians played several games last week during spring break and also volunteered at the little league ballpark.
Coach McQueary said that being at the little league field brings back a lot of memories for the players as that is where most of them began playing baseball.
They spent a few hours hanging signs and cleaning up the park, helping prepare for little league season. Coach McQueary wants his players to be active and give back to the community as much as possible.
On Tuesday, Adair County took the field at home against Campbellsville. Adair County scored their first run in the bottom of the first and kept the lead until the top of the fifth. In the top of the eighth, Campbellsville took a one-run lead with a score of 1-2.
A single home run by Brayton Coomer in the bottom of the eighth tied the game again. Campbellsville had a double in the tenth inning, which gave them the 4-2 win over Adair.
The Indians travel to Campbellsville today for their next game. They will be back in action at home on Saturday at 11 a.m. against Pulaski County.

Lady Indians fall to Marion

The Adair County Lady Indians softball team took a hard loss to Marion County in a home game on Tuesday. The Indians played hard, but fell 0-10 in the 5th inning.
They will be back on the field at home on Friday against Hart County at 5:30 p.m.
