Adair County High School Academic Team scores first in district

The Adair County High School Academic Team traveled to Green County for a district competition on Saturday where they placed first overall and received the Hume Sportsmanship Award.
In addition to first place overall, the team also scored second place in quick recall.
Bailey Watts came in first for Language Arts and second in Arts and Humanities; Andrew Zinati placed second in Science and third in Social Studies; Alex Perkins placed second in Social Studies and third in Science; Hannah Kotter received first in Composition and second in Language Arts; Ian Makranszky got second in Math; Madison Turner got third in Math and third in Arts and Humanities; Skyler Huff placed fourth in Social Studies and Sophie Eaton fifth in Science.
Coach Kate Clemmons and Coach Dalton Robertson expressed their pride in the team.
“The team now advances to regional competition in February, with the goal being to reach state competition in March,” said Coach Dalton Robertson. “(We, the coaches), as well as all of ACHS, are proud of their fantastic results.”
