On May 10, 2024 at 12:52 a.m. Sheriff Deputy Josh Durbin observed Richard Hunter, age 47, outside of a garage. Deputy Durbin knew about an outstanding warrant of arrest for Hunter out of Wayne County. Upon contact and placing Richard Hunter into custody, he was found to have suspected methamphetamine on his person. He was arrested and lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail on charges of outstanding warrant of arrest and possession of a controlled substance, 1st-degree methamphetamine. The case remains under investigation by the Adair County Sheriff’s Office.
