Earl Morrison Coffey, 86, of Columbia, KY passed away Saturday, March 23, 2024, at his residence. He was born on September 18, 1937, in Montpelier, KY to the late Holland C. and Zelma Morrison Coffey.

Mr. Coffey was a member of the former Pleasant Hill Christian Church and most recently attended the Russell Springs Christian Church. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army serving during the Berlin Crisis of 1961. He was a member of the Adair County Cattlemen’s Association and enjoyed farming and spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include his wife Marilyn Sparks Coffey of Montpelier, KY; a son Shannon “Radar” Coffey (Michelle) of Franklin, IN; two grandchildren Alexis Carrillo (Justin) and Sawyer Coffey; a great grandchild Rory Carrillo; four siblings Gene Coffey (Lillie) of Louisville, KY, Carl Coffey (June) of Shepherdsville, KY, Ina Smith of Louisville, KY, and Guinda Miller (Bobby) of Columbus, OH; a sister-in-law Ada Coffey of Columbia, KY and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Joe Norman Coffey, a sister Shirley Holt and her husband Orvil and a brother-in-law Lowell Smith.

Funeral services will be 2:00pm Saturday, March 30, 2024, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with burial in the Haven Hill Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by VFW Post 6097.

Visitation will be on Saturday after 10:00am at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.

Bro. Carroll Egnew and Bro. Don Emerson will be officiating, and pallbearers will be Jason Coffey, Derek Miller, Gary Smith, Corey Coffey, Tim Antle, and Dustin Ballenger.
