The Adair County girls’ golf team continued its strong start to the season this week, picking up wins over Casey County, Clinton County and Monroe County then turning in a solid tournament performance last weekend.
The girls beat Casey County on Tuesday 170-213, playing on a longer course and improving their overall strokes.
On Monday, the Lady Indians defeated Monroe County 182-222. Ila Loy led the way for Adair, shooting a 38.
Saturday, Adair County competed in a 16-team tournament at Barren County, finishing 7th overall with a team score of 364. The performance marked another strong showing for the squad, which continues to gain momentum early in the season.
Last Thursday, the girls teed off against Clinton County. Solid playing by the team gained them the win 163-222. Not only did they win, they beat their team record by an impressive 23 strokes.
The Lady Indians show consistency and steady improvement each week. They face off again Thursday at 76 Falls.
