Melvin Odell Wooten, 65, of Columbia, KY passed away Thursday, August 15, 2024, at Summit Manor Nursing Home in Columbia, KY. He was born on October 16, 1958, in Corydon, IN to the late Jacob Odell and Mable Wheeler Wooten.
Mr. Wooten attended the Living by Faith Church and enjoyed riding around with his canine companion, “Molly.”
Survivors include a son, Melvin Jacob Odell Wooten of Columbia, KY; three daughters Michelle Wooten of South Carolina, Melissa Wooten of Russell Springs, KY and Tina Wooten of Russell Springs; two sisters Marilyn Sneed (Bobby) of Columbia, KY and Doris Jean Bachman (Dave) of Indiana; a sister-in-law Cathy Wooten; his canine companion, Molly; and several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter Melinda Wooten and nine siblings Ceclia, Priscilla, Patricia, Delores, Roger, Rodney, Marshall, Jacob Odell Jr., and Marvin Odell.
Graveside services were held Sunday at the Coomer Cemetery with Bro. Bobby Withers officiating.
Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home conducted the arrangements.
