Last week, the middle school Indians football team had still proven to be undefeated.
On Tuesday, they hosted Edmonton and came out on top with a final score of 38-0.
Coach Jason Blackaby said this was their most complete game yet. Scores came from Josh Baker, Fischer Brown, Daniel Held, and Janson Clemmons.
The Indians hosted Casey County last Thursday night in a tough game. Coach Blackaby said they were a little shorthanded with some players recovering from the Edmonton game. After a slow half, the team amped up for the second half, resulting in a victorious score of 30-12.
Coach Blackaby credits Fischer Brown throwing a total of 133 yards caught by Truth Macklin and Jack Bowman, both scoring touchdowns.
Janson Clemmons and Easton McGee played hard defense against the Rebels. They were involved in almost every play, Coach Blackaby noted
It was a tough week, he added, but the team’s conditioning and heart have really shown during this part of their schedule.
Tonight, they will travel to Green County.
