Tammy Lynn Bledsoe, 48, of Columbia, died Thursday, Dec. 15, 2016 at T.J. Health Columbia.

Born on July 2, 1968 in Adair County, she was the daughter of the late Holland and Ora Mae Karnes Furkin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Sherry Bland; and by two brothers, Norman “Burrhead” and Charles Furkin.

Tammy was a member of 3trees Church and was a lab technician for Dr. Eric Loy in Russell Springs.

She is survived by her husband, Ricky D. Bledsoe of Columbia; two sons, Justin Bledsoe and Chris Helm, both of Columbia; and by one daughter, Carla Bland of Columbia; two brothers, Billy Fred Furkin of Columbia and Gary Furkin of Columbia, Tenn.; three sisters, Virginia Coomer of Jamestown, Barbara Smith of Columbia and Shirley Monzingo of Chicago, Ill.; six grandchildren, Oakley Marie Bledsoe, Blayne Grayson Bledsoe, Nathan Nathaniel Bledsoe, Blake Helm, Sarah Helm and Raelynn Helm; and by her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Paula and Ronnie Bunch of Russell Springs.

Several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral service was Sunday, Dec. 18 at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Bro. Rocky Morrison officiating with burial in Columbia Cemetery.

Casket bearers were Billy Todd Furkin, Anthony Furkin, Raymond Thompson, Tyler Thompson, Blake Helm and Brian Morris.
