Woody Blankenship, 70, of Greensburg, died Friday, June 16, 2017 at Taylor Regional Hospital Emergency Room.
He was born on Jan. 31, 1947 in Adair County and was the son of the late Woodrow and Clarice Leach Blankenship.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Glenda Carol Vaughn Blankenship on Jan. 10, 2015.
He attended Mt. Gilead Baptist Church and was a former truck driver.
He is survived by one daughter, Melinda Rhoads of Columbia; two sisters, Joyce Fobes of Peru, Ind. and Martha Sue Hancock of Columbus, Ind.; two half-brothers and one step-brother, Joseph Logsdon of Columbia, Jimmy Logsdon of Greensburg and Gary Logsdon; four half-sisters, Judy Bryant of Ohio, Carol Frausto, Betty Turner and Becky Harmon all of Columbia; six grandchildren, Jacob and Brooke Roberts, Portia Moss, Alex Lara, Adriana and Aiden Rhoads; five great-grandchildren, Grace, Brayden, Piper, Avery and Taylor.
Several other relatives and friends also survive.
Funeral service was Monday, June 19 at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Bro. Gerald Hancock officiating with burial in Columbia Cemetery.
Casket bearers were Rex Watson, Jacob Roberts, Brent Moss, Jacob Ross, Nick Martoccia and Alex Lara.
