Brenda Sue Underwood, 72, of Elk Horn, the daughter of Ruby Graybeal Hixon and the late Ronald Hixon, was born on August 13, 1950 in Cincinnati and departed this life Thursday, June 27, 2024 at her residence.
Brenda professed faith in Christ at an early age and was a devoted housewife. She enjoyed spending time with her family and loved decorating homes and weddings. She was a former employee of J.C. Penney.
She is survived by her husband, Michael Underwood of Elk Horn; one daughter, Stephanie Conn and husband Joey of Columbia; her mother, Ruby Graybeal Hixson; son-in-law, Shawn Murray of Greensburg; and four grandchildren, Dylan Conn, Dawson Conn, Dax Conn and Casen Murray.
Besides her father, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Cathy Murray; and one grandson, Dane Conn.
Funeral services were held Saturday, June 29, 2024 at L.R. Petty Funeral Home Chapel in Campbellsville with Bro. Randall Underwood officiating.
Memorials are suggested to be in the form of donations to Hosparus of Green River.
L.R. Petty Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
