Elizabeth Jane York, 91, of Columbia, died Sunday, June 23, 2024 at Summit Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation in Columbia.
She was born December 14, 1932 in Cumberland County to the late Andy and Lula Morrison York. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, James Burton and Eddie Burton and two daughters, Kathleen Hill and Flora Mae Fudge.
Survivors include five sons, Odell Smith (JoAnn), Albert Burton (Ruby), David Burton (Mona) and Jerry Burton all of Columbia and Ronald Burton (Michelle Luttrell) of Russell Springs; one daughter, Maureen Caudill; special niece, Shirley Nash York; 20 grandchildren; several great and great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Bunch officiating and burial in Haven Hill Cemetery.
Casket bearers were Davey Burton, Nathan Burton, Kevin Rodgers, Michael Coleman, David Stiles and Levi Morgan; and a honorary casket bearer, Raysean Hughes.
