Eloise “Lois” Willis, 77, of Columbia, died Sunday, Feb. 19, 2017 at Signature Health Care at Summit Manor, after several months illness.
She was born on March 15, 1939 in Columbia and was the daughter of the late Elbert and Stella Akin Janes. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Willis on July 12, 2012; and also by her siblings, Evola Farrow, Marcella Burris, Gail Marie Janes and Mathew Janes.
She is survived by one son, Tracy Willis and his wife Donna of Russell Springs; two brothers, Rev. Russell Janes and his wife Dee of Horse Cave and Rev. Jadell Janes and his wife Carolyn of Columbia; three sisters, Joyce Wallace and her husband Dan of Columbia, Leola Edmonds of Columbia and Sue Jenkins and her husband Jim of Tampa, Fla.; one sister-in-law, Pat Janes; one brother-in-law, Harold Farrow; three grandchildren, Trista (Jordan) Burton, Candise (Nicholas) Eaton and Jonathan (Ciarra) Irvin.
Three great grandsons, two great granddaughters, nieces, nephews and a host of friends also survive.
Eloise was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Greensburg and attended West 80 Church of God in Russell Springs.
She was retired form First and Farmers National Bank where she worked for 35 years.
Funeral service was Wednesday, Feb. 22 at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with Rev. Scott Proctor and Rev. Russell Janes with interment in Columbia Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Timmy Blackistone, Scotty Cowan, Frank Irvin, Glenn Janes, Jason Redmon and Roger Redmon.
Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home was in charge of funeral arrangements.
