Harold Pedigo ‘Peck’ Hill

Harold Pedigo ‘Peck’ Hill, 95, of Edmonton, passed away Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at The Medical Center in Bowling Green. He was born on December 27, 1927 to the late James Wiley and Etta Edna Carter Hill. In 1954 he married the love of his life, Mary Evelyn ‘Dootsie’ Viar Hill and was a faithful and loving husband. She preceded him in death in August of 2001.

Mr. Hill was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army and was of the Christian faith. He enjoyed flower gardening, planting trees, photography, participating in car shows with his 1993 Chevy pickup and spending time with his family and friends. Peck always had a friendly smile for everyone.

Survivors include two nieces and a nephew,, Frances Boston (Lloyd) of Edmonton, Danny Hill of Buford, Ga., and Juanita Hill Curry (Glen) of Buford, Ga.; a great-nephew, Bret Wiley Hill; special friends, Mike and Tootsie Wilson of Edmonton, Ruby Smith of Columbia, Kenny and Robin Smith of Columbia and Paige Smith Donnelly of Bowling Green; and several other friends and relatives.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by five siblings, Horace William Hill, J.T. Lawson, Hugh Lawson, Lindso Lawson and Ava Lawson.

Graveside services were held Friday, August 25, 2023 at Metcalfe County Memorial Gardens with Steve Smith officiating. Military honors were provided by VFW Post 6097.
