Janice Roberta ‘Jan’ Brockman, 79, of Columbia, passed away Thursday, August 3, 2023 at her residence. She was born on March 20, 1944 in Columbia to the late William Coy and Ethel Roberta Feese Watson, She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Dale Brockman.
Mrs. Brockman was a member of the Egypt Christian Church and enjoyed quilting and sewing, gardening and spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include two daughters, Joyce Booher (Mike) and Sheila Brockman, both of Columbia; six grandchildren, Trent Booher (Miranda Pierce), Trevor Booher, Brandon Booher (Nicole), Charles Miller, Brian Miller and Samantha Miller; 16 great-grandchildren, Rachel McMahon (Ryan), Kyle Callaway, Nathan Callaway, Matthew Miller, Amber Booher, Iasac Booher, a great great-granddaughter on the way, Hadley Ann McMahon; three siblings, Margaret Mooney (LaWayne) of Claremore, Okla., Barbara Dixon (Paul) of Knifley and Phillip Watson (Jane) of Columbia; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, William and Lynn Scott Watson.
Funeral services were held Monday, August 7, 2023 at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with Bro. Paul Patton officiating and burial in Murrell Cemetery in Haven Hill.
Pallbearers were Trent Booher, Trevor Booher, Brandon Booher, Iasac Booher, Kyle Callaway and Charles Miller.
