J. D. Montgomery age 79 of Columbia, KY passed away Thursday, June 14, 2018 at 11:14 AM at
the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital Hospice Care Unit in Somerset, Kentucky after a short illness.
He was born June 16, 1938 in Adair County, KY the son of the late
Raymond and Pairlee Pendleton Montgomery
He was a member of the Shiloh Christian Church where he served as an Elder.
He worked for Earnest Simpson Construction Company as a painter and then as a self- employed as a painter for over 50 years.
Survived by his wife of 62 years Jeanette Lawhorn Montgomery
Three daughters; Terri Burris and Robin Fletcher of Columbia, KY
Sherri and husband Ralph Crawhorn of Richmond, KY
5 grandchildren Shawna Wolford, Tara Franklin, Christopher Fletcher,
Jeromy Burris & Cameron Fletcher
8 great grandchildren and 1 great greatgrandchild
Funeral service will be held in celebration on Monday June 18, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home
Clergy officiating: Bro. Cody Willis & Bro. Terry Shelley
Interment in the Shiloh Christian Church Cemetery
Visitation begins at 9:00 AM on Monday at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home
