Jeffrey Lynn ‘Jeff’ Feese

Posted

Jeffrey Lynn ‘Jeff’ Feese was called home at the age of 56 on Sunday, August 13, 2023. Jeff was born in Adair County on February 27, 1967 to Willie Matt Feese Jr., and Donna Ellis Feese of Columbia who survive. He was a member of the Tabernacle Christian Church in Adair County.

If you asked a hundred people who Jeff Feese was, they would all give you a different story. A hunter, a fisherman, an outdoorsman, the BBQ man, hard-headed, the life of the party, the black sheep, a papa, a husband, a dad, a son, a friend, and so much more. He was a fairly simple man who loved a good tune, turned up a little too loud, loved to tell a story that sounded way too crazy to ever possibly be true, and was uniquely himself no matter where he was.

Jeff was a fighter to the very end, and his family is so proud of how he finished his race here on earth.

Survivors include his wife, Shannon Myers Feese of Columbia; three daughters, Malory Burton (Jacob), Macy Chamness (Chris) and Madelyn Feese all of Columbia; six grandchildren, Sophie Terry, Knox Burton, Nora Burton, Dani Chamness, Gunnar Chamness and Myers Burton; one brother, Craig Feese (Stephanie); one sister, Tonya Feese; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Orville and Bobbie McLean Ellis and Willie Matt and Grace Davis Feese.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with Bro. Barney Taylor and Kevin Robertson officiating and  burial in Haven Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Rick Keltner, Mills, Foster, Brad Keltner, Chris Coomer, Mark Wooten, Victor Vaughn, Tyron VanArsdale and Timmy Ellis.

Honorary pallbearers were Matt Jackson, Britt Jackson, Braxton Coomer, Hayden VanArsdale, Jacob Keltner, Garrett Sandusky, Darren Henson, Brandon Henson, Matt Antle and Easton Ellis.
