Martha Akin Cundiff, 86, of Bowling Green, formerly of Columbia, died Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at the Medical Center at Bowling Green.
She was born April 3, 1938 in Adair County to the late George and Mary Cabbell Pierce. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Rev. Bobby Akin; her daughter, Cindy Akin Hughes; and a grandson, Seth Akin. She was of the Baptist faith, formerly worked at Fruit of the Loom and the Dollar General Distribution Center.
Survivors include her husband, Randy Cundiff of Bowling Green; three sons, Bruce Akin (Sonya) of Campbellsville, Timmy Akin (Michele) of Anchorage, Alaska and Matthew Akin of Bowling Green; four grandchildren, Nathan and Josh Akin, Bobby Miller and Aislynn Akin; 13 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; several other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, July 13, 2024 at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Bro. Darrell Landis officiating and burial in Antioch Cemetery.
Casket bearers were Donnie Richards, Leon Darrell Richards, Thomas Richards, Josh Akin, Nathan Akin and Bobby Miller.
