Squaring off against Russell County on Thursday, the same day the high school girls’ golf team also played Russell, the Adair County Middle School Lady Indians continued their winning streak. The home game had tough competition, but the girls won two out of three grade divisions and continued to demonstrate growth on the court.
The Adair sixth grade girls were the lowest-scoring, coming in 19 compared to the Russell County players’ 25. But this was the only loss of the night, and Adair made a big comeback when the seventh graders pulled out a massive win. They went 38 to Russell’s 15. In a fierce competition, the Adair eighth grade brought the win home, going 39 to Russell’s 31.
The middle school girls stay busy even as school has only just started back. They play Green County tonight in Green County starting at 5 p.m.
